It was a pleasure to join the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) for today's panel discussion on the role of non-executive directors. It was a great opportunity not only for me to share my own experience, but also hear from the talented fellow panelists.
Discussion covered the skillset - including language skills - required in order to be a executive director, as well as questions of diversity and inclusion. We also looked at how non-executive directors advocate for strategies with regards to ESG (environmental, social and governance) concerns.
